We even have our own sawmill, and timber licenses to ensure that the quality of our materials is second to none, and affordably priced. We have featured some popular designs in our plan book (see plan books) to start the idea process, as we have never designed two homes exactly the same. This is because our customers are building unique homes which reflect their personality and meet their lifestyle needs. Our drafting and design team offers full custom design services, and are equally happy to work from an existing plan, or with you from a simple sketch or diagram, to develop a design all your own. Unlike other companies, custom design for us does not mean changing a few interior walls: it may involve the creation of a unique design or major structural changes to an existing plan. Alternatively it may be as small as moving a single window placement to take full advantage of a view. We are committed to sourcing and delivering high quality materials for use in every home construction project. We offer the choice of two timber types : Spruce and of course, Western Red Cedar. Our own manufacturing facilities include a sawmill and re-manufacturing plant. All cedar components are manufactured by the plant to meet higher performance standards, than commonly available in the market. It also means we can create a unique look just for you. We have also secured our own timber licenses through programs operated by the Ministry of Forests in British Columbia, Canada. All Linwood logs are professionally harvested by contractors who understand their future is dependent upon looking after the forests. The Linwood logging operations not only include harvesting the timber, but also reforesting the land and maintaining the seedlings to maturity.
