Though planning permission was obtained for this project in 2014, it was 2017 before we carried out the Supply & Erect-To-Shell on this site near Bolton, Lancashire.
The site required a piled foundation, and had a Beam & Block ground floor construction formed on top. The house design is based on various ideas that the client had seen over the previous years, and we created this unique custom design for them. The ground floor is very open plan, and has Living; Dining; Kitchen and rear Hall all open, with further accommodation being front Vestibule; Office; Utility and Toilet. Upstairs there are three spacious double Bedrooms, an En-suite to the Master Bedroom; a family Bathroom, and a Gallery area overlooking the front of the Living area below. With the Vaulted Ceilings upstairs, there is a huge impression of space.
On the ground floor, French Doors open from the Dining to a Patio, while on the upper level, the Master and third Bedrooms have access to a large raised deck area, overlooking a nearby stream. Given the site overall is in a bit of a sun-trap, this deck is a wonderful place to relax.
Finally, attached to the home, is a cedar finished Carport with a Plant/Store room behind, which houses the underfloor heating controls, and the MVHR system.
Internally the home will be finished with American White Oak internal doors and finishes.
